Spicy Gochujang Stir-Fry Chicken

Korean inspired spicy gochujang stir fry chicken is easy to make! Just requires a few ingredients and this quick stir fry is ready. Finding Gochujang in the store is relatively easy and is the star of this recipe. This spicy chilli paste has a thick texture that is made from sun dried chillies and is also fermented to perfection. 

All you need to do is marinate the chicken tenders in gochujang along with a few other ingredients, stir fry on a medium flame & serve with warm rice and few toppings! 

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams chicken tenders, long sliced 
  • 1 tbsp garlic, grated
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated 
  • Dark soy sauce – 1 tbsp 
  • 2 tbsp Gochujang paste 
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil – shallow fry
  • Toppings: Boiled egg, mini peppers (sliced), roasted peanuts (Crushed), toasted sesame seeds

PROCEDURE

  • In a bowl, mix together 1 tbsp grated garlic, 1 tbsp grated ginger, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, 2 tbsp gochujang paste, 1 tbsp oil and salt
  • Add the sliced pieces of chicken tenders, mix well and let it marinate for about 15 minutes 
  • In a skillet on medium heat, add about 2 tbsp of oil and fry the marinated chicken tenders (Make sure the marinate does not burn). Stir fry the chicken until well done to perfection
  • Remove from heat & serve in serving bowl full of cooked rice
  • Top with you favorite toppings on the side like a boiled egg, sliced mini peppers, roasted peanuts and toasted sesame seeds

PRO TIP

  • You can replace the chicken tenders with tofu or potatoes and serve with white rice
