Naan/ Indian Flatbread

Ingredients
¼ cup warm water
2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
4 cups all purpose flour
¾ cup yogurt
¾ cup milk
1 tsp salt
Directions
- In a bowl, take the warm water and add in the active dry yeast, sugar and mix well. Let this sit aside on your counter for about 8-10 minutes until frothy
- In another large mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, milk & yogurt and mix well
- Add the frothy yeast mix to the large mixing bowl and combine well
- Knead this mixture for 5 minutes. Cover with cling wrap and prove for 1 hour. You can rest this mixture over the kitchen countertop
- Equally cut this dough into 12 ball shaped pieces
- Using a rolling pin, flatten each of the dough pieces into ¼ inch thickness
- Brush some olive oil, cilantro and/ or chopped garlic over the flattened dough piece and either fry on a well heated pan/ skillet or bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 450 F
- Additionally you can brush on some melted butter over the naan

- Serve this Naan with your favorite curry or just have it with a dipping garlic mayo sauce
