minutesA crêpe or crepe is a type of very thin pancake. Crêpes are usually of two types: sweet crêpes and savoury galettes. Crêpes are served with a variety of fillings, from the simplest with only sugar to filled with chocolate sauce/ nutella spread and/or fresh fruits
Ingredients
1 egg
¾ cup of milk
½ tsp of oil/butter
½ cup all-purpose flour
⅛ tsp of salt
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ Tbsp of granulated sugar
Chocolate sauce/ Nutella chocolate spread / Caster sugar
Directions
- To make these sweet crepes, In a large mixing bowl beat an egg. Add the milk & butter and well mix this
- Add the flour, sugar, salt to the above mix and well mix this to ensure there are no lumps
- Optionally you can add few drops of vanilla extract, well combine and keep this mix ready
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brush with oil or butter. Pour ¼ cup of crepe batter into the pan, tilting to completely coat the surface of the pan. Cook for about 3 minutes, turning once, until golden
- Repeat with remaining batter
- Spread chocolate sauce or Nutella chocolate paste or dust with caster sugar
PRO TIP
- This fresh crepe can be served with different options as per your liking.
- I have covered my crepes with chocolate sauce & fresh heavy cream
- Alternatively you can serve with fresh fruits
- For an healthy option, you can use oatmeal or whole wheat flour as well
